Below is what fits in each one, the interior dimensions, and where weight matters more than length. When you’re deciding between two sizes, the upgrade is almost always cheaper than discovering mid-load that the first one was too small.

Weight is the limit most people miss. A Lugg carries up to 125 lbs per item with a single Lugger and up to 250 lbs per item on a two-Lugger booking, so one dense piece can rule out Lugg Lite before length ever comes into it. Lugg Pickup

The Pickup Truck is one of Lugg’s most versatile options and works well for medium-sized jobs and bulky single items.

When to choose the Pickup: When you’re moving bulky single items, a few boxes, or don’t need enclosed space.

Truck bed dimensions (minimum):

  • 6 ft long
  • 4.5 ft wide
  • Tailgate can remain open if needed

Best for:

  • A medium couch or a couple of small furniture pieces
  • 1–2 medium appliances (washer and dryer pairs can fit)
  • Multiple large boxes
  • Lightweight store or marketplace pickups

If an item is slightly longer than the bed, the tailgate can stay open and items are secured with straps for safe transport.

Lugg Tip:
Booking just one mover? Lugg Lite is the same pickup truck with a single Lugger, and it has the lowest base fare of the six. It suits a few boxes or one compact piece. The catch is that 125 lb per-item ceiling, so if anything is genuinely heavy, book the Pickup instead and you get a two-Lugger crew and double the per-item limit.

If you’re worried about weather exposure or have more than a few bulky items, it’s usually worth upgrading to a Van.

Lugg Van

The Van offers more enclosed space and is ideal when you’re moving multiple furniture pieces.

Lugg Tip:
King and California king mattresses do not fit in the Van. For those, choose the XL instead.

Lugg XL

The XL provides extra height and width, making it a strong option for larger or bulkier moves. If you’re unsure whether a Van is enough, the XL is often the safer upgrade.

Lugg Box

The Box Truck covers most whole-home moves. If you’re debating between the XL and the Box Truck, choose the Box when you want everything to go in a single trip.

Lugg Tip:
Not every Box Truck has a lift gate. If you need one, say so in the “What are you moving?” field when you book and Lugg will do its best to accommodate.

Need more than 16 ft? Lugg Box+ runs 18 to 24 ft with the same 6 ft width and 7 ft interior height. It’s the right call for a three-bedroom-plus home, a commercial move, or any job where a second trip isn’t practical. Lift gates work the same way here, so ask when you book.

Extra help, when you need it

Lugg gives you flexible ways to handle bigger or more complex moves by supporting up to five stops per booking or allowing you to book multiple Luggs at the same time for extra hands or capacity. Perfect for moves with multiple destinations, heavier items, or tighter timelines.
